Our Heritage

South Side Settlement House, one of the oldest settlements in Columbus, Ohio, was founded in 1899 to help people deal with problems in their daily lives and to help them achieve their aspirations for a better future.

It is an interracial, non-profit, non-sectarian social agency related to the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, and a member agency of the United Way of Franklin County, the Columbus Federation of Settlements and the United Neighborhood Centers of America.
